GOLD COAST RECAP

Race 21 – Position 9
Leading on from a wet race at Bathurst, Jacobson demonstrated his prowess in the torrential conditions, beginning in P22 but flying into P12 within 8 Laps.

Jacobson skilfully picked off another two positions by Lap 10, and was quickly into P6 on Lap 14.

Shortly after reaching P6, Jacobson was the first in field to head down Pit Lane, refuelling and heading back out onto the treacherous track in last place with a 12 second deficit.

Jacobson was able to pilot the Mega Fuels Racing Car into P3 and handed the reigns to Bright who later finished P9 for the duo.

Jacobson was extremely pleased with his performance, racing for the first time in a Supercar on the Street Circuit and driving for the majority.

Race 22 – Position 16
Jacobson had another great start to his final Enduro Race, keeping clean of any carnage after beginning from P16.

Jacobson climbed 5 positions as the race progressed, keeping the car straight and clean and in a good position before handing over to Bright, who eventually finished P16.

Jacobson was pleased with his efforts in his final Enduro Cup Race, and is now looking forward to the Super2 Series finale at the Newcastle 500.

The Mega Fuels duo finished 13th in the Overall Pirtek Endurance Cup Standings.

“ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL DAY FOR US, I GAINED ANOTHER 5 SPOTS IN MY STINT WHICH WASN’T DUE TO SPEED BUT GETTING A GOOD START AND PUTTING IN A CONSISTENT DRIVE. A BIG THANK YOU TO JASON BRIGHT, PRODRIVE RACING AND MEGA RACING. GREAT TO SEE MY PROGRESS FROM SANDOWN TO NOW. I’M HAPPY WITH MY PERFORMANCE AND I’M PRETTY PROUD OF MY FIRST EVER ENDURO EXPERIENCE.”

Jacobson will now prepare for the final round of the Super2 Series at the Newcastle 500 on November 24-26, with all Races to be televised LIVE on Fox Sports.
