Race 1 – Position 5
Jacobson had an impressive start to the Sydney SuperSprint Round, topping the first Practice session and following it up claiming Pole Position.
Unfortunately Jacobson had too much wheel spin at the beginning of the Race and fell back into P10 at the conclusion of the first lap.
Jacobson had a great recovery to finish in P5 in a shortened Race.
Race 2 – Position 3
Jacobson had an improved start to Saturday’s first Race at Sydney Motorsport Park, flying off the line quickly and overtaking other cars on the first corner.
After starting in 5th he was able to progress through the field to finish in P3.
Race 3 – Position 5
The Prodrive Racer had to start two places lower on the Grid following an overnight penalty, and later finished the Race where he started in P5.
Jacobson believed there were improvements to be made on the car before Sunday’s final Race.
Race 4 – Position 3
Starting 5th in the final Race, Jacobson avoided the carnage at the green light which bought out the safety car for the first few laps.
Jacobson moved through the field and engaged in a highly televised battle with Paul Dumbrell for 4th and passed De Pasquale for 3rd, where he then finished.
Jacobson finished 4th Overall for the weekend, and has now moved up to 5th in the Super 2 Championship Standings.
Jacobson will now prepare for the Supercars Enduro Cup with Jason Bright and for Round 6 of the Super2 Series, at the Sandown 500 on September 15-17, with all Races to be televised LIVE on Fox Sports.
