Jacobson Dominates Play At Townsville 400.

Garry Jacobson has dominated play at the Townsville 400, finishing second after starting on the front row. The number six racer created a four second lead over third position while sitting in second. Garry Jacobson was pleased to stand on the podium for the Dunlop Series round after a challenging weekend. Jacobson finished sixth in race two thanks to a five second race penalty due to a start breach. Despite a strong overall result, Jacobson says he still has work to do to make himself comfortable in the car ahead of Sandown.

“We had a pretty good day today. We qualified well and managed to stay clean in the race and finish strong in second. Getting a good gap out to the rest of the field really showed that the guys are doing an awesome job on the car and that we’ve got an awesome package. T It was a challenging weekend for me with car setup. I’m still happy to maximise my points for the weekend with a third for the round. Now I’m just looking forward to knuckling down with the team trying to come up with a better package for me and what suits the car going into Sandown.”
